JK JAPAN, a medical company, announced on the 4th that it has signed a technology and product export Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) through its Korean-Japanese technology and content distribution subsidiary, SHOO Corp., with Islanda for Trading Devices, Medical and Laboratory Equipment Co., a specialized trading company in advanced technology based in Jordan.

Islanda Co. provides advanced IT technology to major Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar, and Jordan. To finalize this agreement, the two companies engaged in multiple discussions, shuttling between South Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. As part of the MOU, Islanda Co. has committed to introducing IT technology from South Korea and Japan, as well as Japan’s proton therapy system, to companies and government agencies in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and other GCC countries.

Additionally, Islanda Co. has decided to import products such as stem cell cosmetics and hair loss shampoo from prominent Korean companies isBLANC and SCMS Life Science.

Mohammed Zahi, the representative of Islanda Co., expressed satisfaction with the business agreement, stating, “I am pleased to introduce the cutting-edge technology and products from South Korea and Japan to the Middle East. JK JAPAN (Represented by Park Jun-soo) announced that it signed an MOU in the energy sector with the semi-governmental entity ‘NTCC (Tri Generation Company)’ in Saudi Arabia through its Korean-Japanese technology and content distribution subsidiary, ‘SHOO Corp.’

‘NTCC’ is a Saudi joint venture company established in 2007 and is involved in the energy sector of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Vision 2030 Project. The company received the initial approval from ECRA for research on the construction and operation of TriGeneration combined heat and power plants within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NTCC specializes in comprehensive energy services, including combined heat and power generation, triple-generation, power leasing, management, cooling, steam, and desalination in the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) and BOO (Build-Own-Operate) sectors.

Notably, NTCC owns three leading subsidiaries: IES (Intelligent Energy Solutions), SE (Source Energy), and DTZ Saudi Arabia (formerly UGL Services). It is actively involved in the world’s largest project, the ‘Neom City Project’ in Saudi Arabia.

In order to finalize this contract, Park Jeon-soo, the CEO of JK JAPAN, engaged in multiple discussions with the NTCC delegation and Saudi government officials, shuttling between South Korea and Saudi Arabia. The MOU involves the export of technology from Korean and Japanese companies that have entered into exclusive contracts with SHOO Corp.

As part of the collaboration, the NTCC delegation plans to actively adopt and localize Japanese MIRAPRO Energy Storage technology systems and Waste-to-energy technology systems in Saudi Arabia.

The ‘Waste-to-energy technology system’ involves the high-pressure treatment of challenging waste, including plastics, animal manure, medical waste, and food waste, without the need for separation. The treated waste is converted into agricultural fertilizer, and the methane gas generated during high-pressure treatment is transformed into energy for power generation. This cutting-edge technology addresses global waste management issues and has gained attention in Japan. After undergoing testing and safety evaluations, it is currently operational in some areas, with plans for facility expansion.
